FIGHTS FOR
WORKING FAMILIES
— AND WINS

Meet Jose Rodriguez
Jose Rodriguez is a National City Councilmember, father of four and former union organizer running for Mayor to fight for the people, not the powerful. On the Council, he capped rent hikes, raised the minimum wage, added 240 affordable homes and delivered $23 million to renovate our parks. He added 4-person firefighter teams, new police officers and 911 dispatchers, and he strongly opposes Trump’s ICE. As Mayor, Jose will fight for a National City that’s safe, clean and affordable for everyone.

Housing & Affordability
My focus is expanding affordable homeownership and rental options while keeping National City livable for the residents who already call it home.
Community Safety
Keeping our neighborhoods safe means reducing violence and gang activity and taking strong, lawful action against human trafficking—including holding businesses accountable if they knowingly enable it.
Economic Growth
National City deserves economic growth that benefits residents—by supporting small businesses, tourism, and education, and by fighting for fair harbor and port agreements plus real Bayfront access.
Environmental Health
Clean air and healthy neighborhoods are non-negotiable, and I’ll keep pushing to cut pollution, plant more trees, expand community gardens, and stand up to port-related polluters.
